The Department of Computer Science was established in **2007** with the launch of the **M.Sc.(Computer Science)** course, initially with an intake of **30** students. This was done to provide in-house higher education facilities and good exposure to the IT industry for students. In **2017**, the department expanded its intake to **60** by adding another division. The **M.Sc.(Computer Applications)** course was introduced in **2021** with an intake of **30** students.
